The Virginia Union University Athletic Department's mission statement is in conjunction with the mission of the university.
The athletic department and its student-athletes seek to succeed academically and athletically while demonstrating maximum effort to become lifelong leaders and learners in a global society.
The athletic department seeks to provide the student-athletes with the opportunity to compete on a national level in division II collegiate athletic programs while earning a college degree.
The Athletic Department seek to instill values of discipline, teamwork, integrity, self-respect and an attitude of winning in all phases of life!!!
