Box Score Virginia Union University's Vicki Collier scored a team-high 18 points, but Shaw University defeated the Lady Panthers 63-57 on Tuesday, January 24, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.

Collier hit seven of 12 shots from the field while also grabbinig a team-high seven rebounds and collecting six steals.

VUU's Melyse Brown and Danielle Ferguson scored 10 points apiece in the game.

Shaw was led by Sequoyah Griffin and Victoria Tanner, who scored 14 points apiece.  Kyria Buford had 13 rebounds for the Bears.

The loss dropped VUU to 5-10 on the season while Shaw is now 12-5.  The game was a non-conference match-up for both teams.

VUU now faces Virginia State University on Thursday, January 26, at 5:30 p.m. in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
